Engravings. Most of these engravings are on boxwood, a very slow-growing, scarce and therefore expensive wood. If scale demands, I sometimes use Japanese engravers’ plastic. Engravings are usually much smaller than linocuts, something to bear in mind when looking at these images which are very much smaller in real life than they are on the screen.
